Petra Jerič z modno znamko Vivre (fr. biti, obstajati) vstopa v polje družbeno odgovornega oblikovanja v modi s poudarkom na ekološki in etični perspektivi. Izpostavlja problem prekomerne uporabe plastike, sintetičnih materialov in mešanic naravnih in umetnih vlaken, ki močno otežijo razgradnjo. S kolekcijo unikatnih oblačil iz biorazgradljivih materialov odpira alternative in ponuja možne rešitve.
Petra Jerič and her fashion brand Vivre (French for “to be, to exist”) enter the field of socially responsible fashion design with a focus on an ecological and ethical perspective. She emphasises the problem of excessive use of plastics, synthetic materials and mixtures of natural and artificial fibres, all of which contribute to challenging decomposition. With a collection of unique clothing made from biodegradable materials, she introduces alternatives and offers possible solutions.
Blagovno znamko Vivre odlikujejo sto procentno biorazgradljiva oblačila, ki sestojijo iz naravnega veganskega biomateriala. Znamka bazira na uporabi rastlinskih biopolimernih materialov iz naravnih polisaharidov, ki jih je oblikovalka razvila v sodelovanju s Kemijskim inštitutom.
The Vivre clothing brand is characterised by 100% biodegradable fabric made from a natural vegan biomaterial. The brand uses plant-based biopolymer materials derived from natural polysaccharides, which the designer developed in collaboration with the National Institute of Chemistry.
Materiali, ki po videzu in strukturi še najbolj spominjajo na usnje, so v celoti naravni in so del krožnega sistema. Obogatila jih je z vonjem eteričnih olj, saj ta dokazano pozitivno vplivajo na naše razpoloženje ter našo fizično in kognitivno predstavo. S tem izpostavlja predvsem taktilne in inhalatorne zaznave, za katere smo bili prav med pandemijo koronavirusa močno prikrajšani. S tem izpostavlja velik potencial oblačil tudi na ravni mentalnega zdravja in psihološkega dobrega počutja.
These materials, which in terms of appearance and structure resemble leather the most, are entirely natural and are part of a circular system. The designer enriched the materials with the scent of essential oils, as these have a proven positive effect on our mood and physical and cognitive performance. She highlights the perceptions of touch and smell, which were significantly deprived during the coronavirus pandemic. In doing so, she emphasises the great potential of clothing at the level of mental health and psychological well-being.
Inspiracija za multifunkcionalno kolekcijo oblačil in modnih dodatkov izhaja iz provokativnih kolažev angleškega družbenokritičnega umetnika Joeja Webba. Oblačila so v celoti biorazgradljiva, vključno s sukancem, gumbi in zaponkami. Obenem je material tudi vodoodporen, saj je poobdelan z biobaziranim premazom.
The inspiration for the multifunctional collection of garments and fashion accessories comes from the thought-provoking collages by Joe Webb, a socio-critical British artist. The garments are fully biodegradable, including the thread, buttons and buckles. At the same time, the material is also waterproof due to being treated with a bio-based coating.
V trajnostni kolekciji nam oblikovalka predstavi lastno vizijo oblačil prihodnosti, ki so prijazna do uporabnika, zdravstveno nesporna, uporabnikom pa zagotavljajo dodatne pozitivne učinke in večjo kakovost njihovega življenja. Kolekcija je kot navdih ali ena od smernic za trajnostno oblikovanje, obenem pa odpira novo vlogo oblikovalca – kot posrednika, spodbujevalca, aktivista in inovatorja.
In this sustainable collection, the designer presents her vision of clothing for the future, which is user-friendly, harmless to health, and provides users with additional positive effects and a higher quality of life. The collection is a source of inspiration or one of the guidelines for sustainable design while also redefining the designer’s role as a mediator, promoter, activist, and innovator.
